The Parliament House of Delhi, also known as Sansad Bhawan is where the Legislative Assembly of the world’s largest democracy is. The Parliament House is designed with 247 pillars with a broad corridor and opened in 1927. Across from the Parliament House is the Parliament House Library which offers approximately 1.27 million volumes of books, reports, government publications, UN reports, Debates, Gazettes, periodicals, newspapers and other documents. Alongside the enormous collection of books, the Parliament Library shows unique architecture.

The India Gate, also known as the All India War Memorial, was finished in February 1921. This memorial was built in honour of the 90,000 Indian soldiers that had sacrificed their lives during WW1 and the Third Anglo Afghan War. Also, to remember and honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country, “Amar Jawan Jyoti” or the eternal flame of the immortal warrior, has been burning under India Gate since 1971. Take a brief walk around the Children’s Park which surrounds the India Gate to take in the depth of the memorial.

Point D: Swaminarayan Akshardham

Akshardham is a the largest Hindu temple in the world. Due to the growing knowledge and popularity of the Hindu Swaminarayan faith, the organization BAPS has developed a huge temple in honour of their God, Lord Swaminarayan. This divine vicinity will literally be today’s biggest attraction. On its 100 acre ground, Akshardham has the most beautiful temple grounds. The temple was precisely hand-carved out of stone and doesn’t have a single iron rod in its building. The Temple includes 234 pillars all hand crafted. To take even one step further, the 141 ft tall, 316 ft wide and 356 ft long temple was built in only 5 years.
